Overview
The Glass Box is the place to come to learn a wide range of digital and creative skills. Contact us by emailing taulib@somerset.gov.uk to arrange a familiarisation session so you can find out how to use any of the equipment or come to any of the events below:-
- 3D Scanning
- 3D Printing
- Coding
- Making the best of your own devices (tablets and smart-phones).
There are volunteer-run ‘how-to’ sessions held regularly at the Glass Box, to help you make the most of your smart-phone or tablet. You can start from the very basics or find out about some of the more advanced features on your device.
- Workshops and informal events
Take a look at the events section to see some of the events and workshops taking place in the Glass Box. Some events are aimed specifically at businesses or start-up businesses and some are for members of the public.
- Public computers and WiFi
As long as you have a free Libraries West membership card, you can access any of the computers based in the Glass Box or in the main library which you can use for your independent study and research. We also offer free WiFi – drop in anytime and ask us for details.
