The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card-sized computer that plugs into your TV/monitor and a keyboard. It is a small and affordable computer which can be used in electronics projects, education and for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word processing, browsing the internet, and playing games. It also plays high-definition video. The makers of the Raspberry Pi computer, the Raspberry Pi Foundation is a UK-based educational charity that works to put the power of computing and digital making into the hands of people all over the world. At the Glass Box we are able to provide access to a set-up Pi for you to use. You will need to book in advance so we can have everything ready for you. All you need to do is email Taunton library via firstname.lastname@example.org to make your booking. We also host an adult Raspberry Pi group, which is a teacherless learning group, that meets in the Glass Box on a Friday afternoon, for more information email Taunton library.
